My research is focused on quantifying the the diversity and distribution of microbial communities in the epipelagic waters of Lake Superior.

I'm focused on understanding how nitrogen fixation aids cyanotoxin production in low nitrogen environments.

I'm studying the microbes and their metabolic potential in deep subsurface terrestrial environments. 

I'm a new student and will be studying the distribution of preserved pigments and cyanobacterial DNA in AOCs in the Great Lakes.

I'm a new student and will be investigating the microbiome of rock snot across Minnesota.
